Worldwide Yoga Alliance Standards

200-Hour Standards

These standards describe WWYA requirements to register a Registered WWYA Yoga School (RWS) 200-hour foundational Yoga Teacher Training program. A RWS 200 Track should be able to adequately prepare trainees to teach a general adult population. As described on the page, we follow 170 + 30 Hours pattern which gives students an opportunity to choose an elective of their choice. Electives offered by a RWS 200 should be duly approved by WWYA. Topics for RWT 200 must be relevant to the Educational Categories. RWS 200 must provide a minimum number of hours of study for each category. Please check the details on the relevant page.

300-Hour Standards

These standards describe WWYA requirements to register a Registered WWYA Yoga School (RWS) 500-hour advanced Yoga Teacher Training program. A 300-hour advanced program can be registered only if the school is also registered for a foundational RWS 200. As described on the page, we follow 150 + 150 Hours pattern which gives students an opportunity to choose advanced training in an elective of their choice. Electives offered by a RWS 500 should be duly reviewed by WWYA. A trainee who has completed both a RWS 200 training and a RYS 500 training is eligible to become a Registered WWYA Yoga Teacher (RWT) 500. Please check the details on the relevant page.

Seniors’ Yoga Standards
